Jason Carmichael, MBA
Jason is the Founder & CEO of TALENTSPOKE. He is also Co-Founder + Managing Partner of Oxford + Richmond, a next-generation retained search firm. Under his leadership, Oxford + Richmond quickly became one of the most highly respected and fastest-growing search firms in Canada, recently recognized as one of the Top 10 Emerging Firms in Canada in 2022 and a Top 50 search firm in 2023. Jason brings over 15+ years of extensive sales, corporate development, executive C-suite leadership as the former President of a wholly-owned subsidiary of a publicly-traded company, and entrepreneurialism, in addition to turnaround and restructuring experience.

Prior to founding Oxford + Richmond and TALENTPOKE, Jason was Vice-President, Corporate Development for a publicly traded global medical company, and also served as President of one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries, overseeing 130 employees, a proprietary telemedicine platform and a national network of medical clinics. Prior to that, Jason led Business Development and Business Operations at Holland Bloorview, Canada’s largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital, where he also built North America’s leading Concussion Centre.
He previously held progressively more senior roles with GlaxoSmithKline and Johnson & Johnson and continues to be an advisor to multiple organizations across technology, healthcare and private equity. Jason was seconded to work in International Business Development at the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C., working with the Trade Commissioner responsible for Health, Technology and Communications Industries.
Jason holds a B.A. with a double-major in Psychology and History from Western University, where he was a member of the Student Council as VP Operations. He also holds a Global MBA from the Ted Rogers School of Management and completed a leadership development program at Harvard University.
Outside of work, Jason is passionate about sports, physical activity, relaxing at the cottage with family and friends, travelling and exploring new foods, cultures and activities with his wife, Mal, and three young daughters, Cooper, Taylor, and Blakely.
